IPlus is a web based Human Resource System that can run on an Intranet or be cheaply and securely hosted on the web. The latter approach makes the system ideal for companies with distributed sites. Both individuals and Managers can access IPlus.

Based on the UK NVQ framework, IPlus enables the creation of jobs from existing competency libraries or to suit company needs. However, this can be changed to suit your own job model and company style.

Job Competency Mapping

The existing model uses the MCI competency model, so that management jobs can be put together by selecting from the data base. New competencies can be created for Administrative or Technical posts. In addition, the database also includes Sales competencies ( Sales Qualification Board).

Where a different approach is needed, the programme can be modified to suit your own competency model.

Jobs are mapped in graph format amd Competency Achievement levels can be scored by both the Job Holder and Manager. Competencies are linked to the Personal Development section.

Personal Development

Individuals are able to plan their Personal Development with the system. Help in doing this is available and existing plans are automatically shown when a Job Holder logs into their record. Details of Plans completed can be archived and used as a record of achievement.

Performance Appraisal

Traditional appraisal cycles ( 6 or 12 months) do not fit with fast changing organisations. IPlus permis a rolling review approach which keeps the proces fresh and relevant.

Dynamic Objective Setting

The current company objectives, which can be quickly changed, are available on the system and are ready to be linked to personal targets.

Training

IPlus can allow access to documents, manuals and training courses. This is via a search facility.

Live courses many be offered internally or the systmem can be linked to prefered suppliers.

Courses can be delivered on-line or downloaded for off-line use.

Team Building

IPlus allows managers to view plans for their direct reports and to add comments to these. Managers cannot alter Personal Development plans.

Where Belbin Team Role Profiles are used, these can be included in the database, for Project Team selection etc.

Customisation

IPlus can be modified to suit your company look and style. This could include the competency database. Additional features can also be added e.g, Job Matching, 360 degree Appraisal.

You can down load the whole IPlus web site for free and modify it for your own use. It uses ASP technology with an Access database which is sufficient for smaller organisations. The site is ideal for multi-site companies.

The original version of this site cost around £50,000 to develop, so we consider this a reasonalble offer! Note that the MCI competncy set has now been succeeded by the MSC version which is slightly simpler.
